          Embodyment® FAQ's and Testimonials

          Frequently Asked Questions about Embodyment®

          Q. What happens during a session?

          A. You’ll begin your Embodyment® session fully clothed, propped and supported in Svaroopa® yoga’s version of Shavasana, yoga’s relaxation pose. You'll begin with an easy basic pose to help begin the process and you may receive special alignments to help you settle in.
During the next stage, the Embodyment® stage, you simply rest in Shavasana while your yoga therapist places her hands on the precise areas of the body where we hold the most tension and are least aware. Your session concludes with your therapist assisting you in a gentle reclining twist and “sealing in”.

          Q. How does it works?

          A. While you relax into a deeply peaceful state of mind and body, deep tensions are released and unraveled, called “core opening”. The core opening is a result of the very precise alignments, specialized hand position of the therapist and the awakening of your own deep inner consciousness. This very simple and comfortable process has extraordinary and remarkable power to transform you and your body.

          Q. What are the benefits?

          A. Benefits from a session may include:
          • deep relaxation
          • pain relief
          • increased flexibility
          • reduced stress

          • mental clarity
