I have been doing 'Deep Release' yoga for 4 years. I have experienced a lessening of joint aches and pains, increased flexibly and range of motion. There has been a consistent decrease in headaches due to stress.
My overall health is improved with fewer colds and less fatigue especially in the winter months. I have also been aware of improvement of my sleep pattern over the years. Falling asleep happens more quickly and sleep is deeper.
Even with all of the above, the part of Deep Release I am most grateful for is the calming of the mind chatter! My mind is less prone to overthinking, hanging on to thoughts, worry and anxiety. It is so easy to do, so gentle on the body. The results are immediate and life changing, physically as well as emotionally and mentally. I am a happier, healthier person thanks to Ann and 'Deep Release'!!

What impels me to go to Ann Johnson's yoga class -- and to keep going -- is the physical and mental refreshment and reinvigoration provided by each and every class. There can be even spiritual renewal of a kind in that you tend to focus on the essential and the elemental things.

Every Deep Release Yoga class leaves me feeling, whole, calm, strong, and happy.
After about 7 years of coming to class and practicing this yoga, I remain intrigued and challenged. Ann is a splendid teacher who keeps class interesting and expansive. Deep Release can benefit anyone with a body, I think. Poses can be adapted to accommodate people's physical problems, and Ann is very skilled in doing this.
This yoga is not "just" restorative, though. It keeps unfolding. Sensations and physical connections it has shown me now carry over to help with everyday activities -- standing in line, washing dishes -- and fun ones, like dancing. --Seph D.
I certainly am happy that I was introduced to yoga and in particular Deep Release Yoga.
Having had annual back problems, especially at gardening time, I never dreamed that I could most often control all of this "grief " by learning to relax and also use suggested positions while working and sleeping. Although I don't still do the complete basic four, I do enough each morning of what I learned, to keep my body in shape. I enjoyed Ann, and the others in the class. I wish I could remember all the good tips. Who knows. Maybe someday my schedule will again allow me to take advantage of a structured class experience.

I came to yoga relatively late- at age 63. I started with Ann’s Svaroopa “Gentle Yoga classes and an happy that I did so.
